Libby Hart Visits The Left Bank
Born and raised in the Chicago area, Libby attended Ripon College in Wisconsin. After graduation, she moved to Vail, Colorado, where she lived for over twenty years.
A serious bout of spring cleaning in 1991 revealed some ancient brushes and dusty paint tubes buried in the debris of the kitchen junk drawer. Instead of following her first instinct to toss them, she decided to sign up for a painting class at the local community college. It was the start of a journey, which lead to more classes, and eventually a move to Denver to study at the Art Students League.
The year 2000 found her relocating to Costilla, New Mexico where she was able to establish her home studio. There she currently pursues the magnificent struggle with the elements of the visual dialogue while mumbling hmmmmmmm on a daily basis.
Along the way, she has won several awards and a few avid collectors-------
